A fintech returns Zen to its roots, at least when it comes to providing peace of mind for withholding taxes.

Divizend, the German-based withholding tax reclaim services provider, launched its suite of online services in the Asia Pacific region at the end of 2023.

As finews.asia previously reported in June, the fintech provider has a so-called reclaim analyzer that shows what refunds investors can expect by way of a linked native interface directly uploaded from the client’s bank - or through PDFs (uploaded manually or automatically).

New Business Heads

Torsten Kaehlert, who has more than 30 years of experience in financial services in Asia Pacific and Europe, has been appointed Managing Director of Divizend Asia Pacific. He will lead business activities in the region together with co-founder and CEO Thomas Rappold. Raphael Jansa, based in Hong Kong, will help build the franchise in Hong Kong, China, and South Korea. Other markets in focus for the APAC region are Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Divizend’s co-founder and CEO Thomas Rappold indicated the business was seeing «strong demand» in the region from clients, particularly in Japan and Singapore related to its ability to bulk process reclaims for German withholding taxes online.
