The Hong Kong Monetary Authority hosted hundreds of bankers in a dinner banquet in the lead up to the second «Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit».

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) hosted a dinner banquet yesterday in the lead up to the «Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit». According to an «SCMP» report, the banquet was attended by 300 bankers with CEOs and chairmen from 90 companies including Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered, Citi, Blackstone, UBS and JPMorgan.

The attendees were welcomed by West Cultural District Authority chairman and ex-financial secretary Henry Tang as well as HKMA CEO Eddie Yue.

The summit, which takes place today and tomorrow, occurs on the back of the Hong Kong FinTech Week held last week. Separately, Hong Kong will also play host to the Bank for International Settlements' (BIS) annual governors’ meeting on November 27 and 28.
