Private markets investment manager Hamilton Lane has expanded in Southeast Asia with a senior hire and a partnership with fintech platform StashAway.

Hamilton Lane appoints Kerrine Koh as a managing director, according to a statement, tasked with leading the firm’s Singapore office and the Southeast Asia business. Koh joins from Blackrock where she spent 12 years, last as its head of alternatives distribution for Southeast Asia.

In addition, the US alternatives manager has also partnered with Singapore-based fintech firm StashAway with a balance sheet investment and plans to further broaden investor access to private markets.

«[Koh] will be central to serving our growing client base, building long-term relationships and partnerships throughout the region and continuing to find innovative ways to serve investors of all sizes,» said Hamilton Lane vice chairman and Asia head Juan Delgado-Moreira.
