The digital bourse located in the city-state names a former Singapore Exchange executive as board chairman.
Hg Exchange has appointed Lawrence Wong as chairman of the board, according to a statement.
Wong reenters the financial services industry after retiring in 2018, following a 12-year career with the Singapore Exchange (SGX), where his last position was the head of China. Prior to joining SGX, Wong held various senior management roles at Schroders and OCBC. He also currently serves as an independent director on the boards of Mapletree Pan Asia Commercial Trust Management and Hotel Properties Limited.

Hg Exchange offers a wide range of digital and non-digital capital market products ranging from private equity and real estate to more exotic assets such as whiskey-backed securities.
