An accomplished banker is joining the board of an initiative by the Law Society of Singapore.

The Law Society Pro Bono Services (LSPBS) in Singapore appointed Low Wei-Ling, CEO of Vanda Global Capital, as a Board Member, according to a media release on Friday.

She is LSPBS’ first non-lawyer Board Member. LSPBS is an initiative by the Law Society of Singapore to help bring free legal assistance to those in need in our community as part of the Law Society's stated mission to ensure access to justice for all.

Extensive Experience

Low, an accomplished banker with extensive experience serving on the boards of various organizations with senior management roles in financial institutions, has expertise in strategic governance, risk management and compliance.

Her current and former appointments include serving, as Advisory Board Member of the Singapore Management University Academy; Monetary Authority of Singapore Banking Industry Group, the John Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth SEA Advisory Group and serving as Singapore Co-Chairman for International Trade Missions and at Board & Chair capacities at Rotary International Club, Foundation & District, Singapore.

Legal Education

She will enhance the Board’s focus on areas of Finance and Investment, Governance and Compliance, Risk and Crisis Management and Technology, Digitalisation and Digitization. In particular, Low will help LSPBS strengthen innovation in delivering legal education.
