London-based digital banking platform Revolut has expanded to five more countries with the aim of reaching 90 by the end of this year.

Revolut has launched its app in five new countries – Sri Lanka, Chile, Ecuador, Azerbaijan and Oman – according to a statement.

Customers will be able to transfer money to over 50 countries in more than 30 currencies. There will be no fees for customers transferring to other Revolut customers while transfers to non-Revolut accounts would incur a 1 percent fee with a minimum of $1.

Revolut launched in the U.K. in 2015 with the aim of becoming a global financial superapp and currently has more than 1 million individual customers and 500,000 businesses as users. The British digital bank aims to be in up to 90 countries by the end of 2022.
