The pair bring valuable experience in building info-tech and software businesses, and will help to further accelerate the growth of its APIX platform.

The ASEAN Financial Innovation Network (AFIN) has appointed Naveen Kumar as director to its board, and Deep Singhania as member to its Strategic Advisory Council, it announced in a statement on Monday.

Kumar founded Nityo, one of the fastest growing management consulting and technology services companies globally, in 2006 with over two decades of experience in technology leadership. Singhania has rich global experience of more than 20 years in the software services and product industry and was previously Singapore country chief for information technology (IT) and consulting firm TCS.

Growing Organization

The addition of the two IT industry stalwarts will expand AFIN's current board to seven directors and three advisors.

Kumar and Singhania (pictured above) will contribute their valuable knowledge and experience in growing the organisation, improving memberships and adapting API Exchange (APIX) – its flagship product that is a global cloud-based sandbox and marketplace for financial institutions and fintechs to collaborate and deploy solutions rapidly – to industry requirements, AFIN said.

AFIN was established in 2018 by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the ASEAN Bankers Association.
