Credit Suisse Australia and its partner Jarden have agreed to cancel their strategic alliance. They will continue working together on a case-by-case basis.

The Australian unit of Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse and New Zealand-based investment and advisory group Jarden have decided to cancel their partnership agreement, said the «New Zealand Herald», citing a joint statement by the two companies.

Credit Suisse and Jarden took the decision given the evolving strategic priorities. Both companies praised their partners in the statement and emphasized that they will continue to work on transactions and initiatives that can benefit both sets of clients.

The decision to go their separate ways came after Jarden launched a new boutique with its headquarter in Sydney, according to a separate report by «Euromoney». One of the bankers hired for the new office was an equity sales trader from Credit Suisse.
