Based in Hong Kong, she will drive Sanne's alternatives and corporate offering, in addition to exploring new strategic business development opportunities across the Asia region, as the firm's client base grows.

Sanne, a global provider of alternative asset and corporate services, has appointed Catherine Law as head of business development, Asia Pacific, the company announced earlier this week.

Based in Hong Kong, Law joins Sanne after an extensive and successful career in senior business development roles within the fund services industry, spanning more than 20 years. She joins from Apex where she was head of sales and managed the company's strategic growth and expansion across the alternative funds space in Greater China. She previously held senior leadership roles at Vistra and BNY Mellon.

Growing Asia Platform

«Our core focus is on developing our Asia specific service platform with multi-jurisdictional capabilities to further enhance SANNE’s brand and bespoke specialist solutions across the Asia-Pacific network, and Catherine is exceptionally placed to capitalize on this opportunity,» Jing Jing Qian, managing director, Sanne Asia Pacific, said about the appointment.

Established for over 30 years and listed as a FTSE 250 company on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, Sanne employs more than 1,400 people worldwide and administers structures and funds that have in excess of £215 billion ($275 billion) of assets.

The firm first established a presence in Asia in 2010 when it opened offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong, further opening a Singapore office in 2014. It opened a Tokyo office in 2019, and yesterday announced the appointment of Sakuya Tajima as head of business development, Japan, who will work closely with country head Mark Bennett to support the growth of alternative investment strategies.
