Dah Sing Bank Staff Raise Money for Needy
About 130 employees of Dah Sing Bank and 24 children took part in the basketball challenge on December 7, all in good spirits to raise money for the needy.
Staff of Dah Sing Bank took part in a charity basketball event on Saturday to raise money for those in need. The «Dah Sing Charity Score Challenge» was held at the South China Athletic Association in Causeway Bay. The bank has been supporting the year-end charity appeal for seven years.
«I played basketball with the children....I am happy as I was also able to help raise money by playing sports,» said banking staff Kenji Chung Hiu-fai, who was quoted in «South China Morning Post».
Bank staff engaged with 24 young beneficiaries of charity - the HUB Hong Kong- aged between seven and 13 in a friendly basketball match and a series of challenge games. Each basket scored counted towards the final donation, and all proceeds generated will go to Operation Santa Claus, an annual fundraising campaign organised by the South China Morning Post and public broadcaster RTHK.
