He replaces Lavanya Chari, who was appointed Global Head of GPS earlier this year.

Deutsche Bank Wealth Management has appointed Rajesh Mahadevan as head of its Global Products & Solutions for Emerging Markets, the firm announced in a press release on Wednesday.

The senior executive will move from Dubai to Singapore for his new role, which commences in January. He is currently the bank's Global South Asia (GSA) group head for the Middle East region. Before joining Deutsche Bank, he was Bank of America Merrill Lynch's head of investments and sales in the Middle East and Citigroup's head of investment products.

Wei Mei Tan and Marco Busetto, joint heads of global Advisory and Investment Solutions (AIS), will support him in building the firm's global mandated advisory business.

Bolstering Product Capabilities

«We’re accelerating our growth plans in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa with new hires, technology investments and a broader range of innovative investment solutions for our clients,» Lavanya Chari, Global Head of GPS, said in the statement.

She added that the bank is expanding  its wealth advisory service and is growing its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy on the back of client demand and «to add purpose to performance.»
