HP Wealth Management is further expanding its presence with the hiring of four professionals from independent asset managers.

Shirreen Sin is joining Singapore-based HP Wealth Management with more than 25 years of experience in the industry, as finews.asia can reveal. She spent time with Citi, UBS, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, and Deutsche Bank before venturing into the independent space in 2018.

Tshua Ngee started his career with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and has been managing money for more than 20 years, among others with Citibank, Western Asset Management and Bank of Singapore. Most recently he was head of fixed income with a Singapore-based independent asset manager.

Edward Pang started his professional career at Smith Barney in Seattle, before returning to Singapore and joining Citibank as a financial advisor. For the last two years, he serviced his clients through an independent asset manager.

Adriel Chua joins the firm to broaden his exposure in the investment world and also joins from another independent asset manager.

All four are intimately familiar with the business model of independent asset managers. Sin and Pang will be developing their own client portfolio and will both report to Stephane Schmid, partner of the firm. Ngee and Chua will strengthen the investment team and report to Michael Foo, CIO.

HP Wealth Management was founded in 2009 by former Credit Suisse banker Urs Brutsch and obtained the CMS License from the MAS in 2012. It manages money on a discretionary and advisory basis for clients predominantly based in Asia.

«I have no doubt that our new colleagues will be successful, not least thanks to the guidance provided by Stephane Schmid and Michael Foo. They can benefit from the robust platform we have built over the last 10 years,» Brutsch said.
