Prudential Announces Hong Kong C-Suite Appointments 

British insurer Prudential has announced three C-suite appointments in its Hong Kong office.

Prudential Hong Kong has appointed Brian Chan as chief financial officer, Viola Chan as chief human resources officer and Alok Jha as chief strategy & transformation officer, according to a statement, effective immediately. They will serve as members of the Hong Kong executive committee and report dually to Hong Kong CEO Lawrence Lam and their respective function heads.

Brian Chan rejoins the firm after previously working in Prudential's actuarial, finance and product teams between 2007 and 2021. He was most recently working at Sun Life Hong Kong as chief risk offier and chief actuary.

Viola Chan has over 20 years of people management experience, having led Prudential Hong Kong’s talent, leadership, and learning and development strategy since 2022. Previously, she also worked at AIA and Sun Life.

Jha joins from Prudential Group after first joining ICICI-Prudential in India in 2005 and taking on various roles in Singapore and the group office in Hong Kong. He succeeds Yongjin Jiang, who has moved to another role in the insurer’s group.
