Citi Hires Ex-HSBC China Corporate Banker
A former HSBC corporate banker has joined Citi to cover international companies with operations in mainland China.
Citi has appointed Lenny Chu as China global network banking (GNB) head, according to a memo, effective August 11. Based in Shanghai, he will report to Chris Wen, Citi China’s corporate banking head.
Chu has over 20 years of multinationals (MNC) banking experience, most recently at HSBC China where he was last head of regional client coverage, MNC, global banking.
«China is one of our key GNB franchises and Lenny will be responsible for delivering business growth in collaboration with internal partners and stakeholders. His competitive knowledge of and his experience in the China MNC business will be key to unlocking further potential of our China GNB franchise,» said Wen.
