Citi Appoints Investment Banking Trio in Asia
Citi has strengthened its investment banking and capital markets business with three new appointments.
Citi has appointed Vikram Chavali as managing director, head of global asset managers (GAM) for JANA (Japan, Asia North and Australia) and Asia South, according to a memo. Based in Hong Kong, he will join later in the year and report to global head of GAM Ashu Khullar as well as Jan Metzger, head of investment banking for JANA and South Asia.
Chavali has 20 years of experience in investment banking coverage and capital markets, most recently at Goldman Sachs where he was head of Asia ex-Japan sponsors M&A.
DCM Appointments
The bank has also named Deepak Dangayach and Adrian Khoo as co-heads of debt capital markets (DCM) for JANA and Asia South, reporting to global head of DCM Richard Zogheb.
Based in Hong Kong, Dangayach will also join later this year. He has nearly 20 years of capital markets experience, most recently as head of sponsor financing for APAC at Deutsche Bank. Prior to that, he held senior roles at UBS. Khoo currently heads the bonds DCM teams for the Asia clusters and he will take on the new role as part of an expanded remit.
