Women have made their mark at DBS, Singapore's largest banking group. A fact recognized by a new index gender equality in the industry. 

The index compiled by «Bloomberg» measures gender equality across a number of benchmarks including external community support and engagement, and gender-conscious product offerings. DBS was named among 100 companies from ten sectors spread across 24 countries and regions in the inaugural findings. 

Women currently make up 40 percent of DBS’ senior management, which includes senior vice presidents to managing directors. In Singapore, women form 60 percent of DBS’ overall workforce, and women also make up 30 percent of the bank's group management committee, which sets the strategy and direction of DBS.

Among the leading women at DBS (pictured above) are Eng-Kwok Seat Moey, head of DBS' capital markets group, Pearlyn Phau, deputy group head of DBS’ consumer banking and wealth management, Tan Su Shan, group head of DBS’ wealth management Jeanette Wong, group executive, head of DBS’ institutional banking group Chng Sok Hui, DBS’ chief financial officer, Lee Yan Hong, head of DBS’ group human resources and Karen Ngui, head of DBS’ group strategic marketing and communications.
