«Antifragile: Things That Gain From Disorder» by Nassim Nicholas Taleb
What it is:
According to Taleb, the opposite of fragile is antifragile; but antifragility is beyond resilience or robustness. Some things crumble from shocks, disorder, and volatility while others remain unchanged in shape and form when exposed to these external forces. The third category of things actually thrive and grow when subject to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors. Despite the ubiquity of the phenomenon, there is no word for the exact opposite of fragile.
Why I recommend it:
Engaging discussions on the concepts of fragility, resilience, and anti-fragility. Serious investors can take a leaf from the author's suggestions on building antifragile portfolios.
