Citi Nabs Ex-Morgan Stanley MD in Natural Resources

New York-based Citi has hired a managing director from US rival Morgan Stanley for its Australasian natural resources group.

Citi has appointed Anders Svensson as managing director, head of natural resources group for the Australia and New Zealand capital markets and advisory team, according to a statement. In the role, he will work closely with Rowan King, who continues as head of metals and mining based in Perth, to drive the growth of the bank's natural resources coverage.

Svensson joins from Morgan Stanley, where he gained over 20 years of experience across natural resources, including oil and gas, and metals and mining, most recently as managing director.
