Partners Group Enters Thai Market

Global private markets giant Partners Group has teamed up with Thailand’s largest asset manager, SCB Asset Management, to give Thai investors access to its royalties evergreen fund – marking its first dedicated entry into the country.

Partners Group, one of the world’s largest private markets firms with over $174 billion in assets under management, has partnered with SCB Asset Management (SCBAM), which oversees around $62 billion, according to a media release sent on Wednesday.

The alliance introduces a dedicated feeder fund, giving Thai private wealth clients access to Partners Group’s cross-sector royalties strategy.

Investing Across Sectors

The royalties evergreen strategy spans industries including pharmaceuticals, music, media & entertainment, and energy transition.

It uses diverse structures such as purchasing existing royalties, creating new ones, and lending against royalties. Partners Group has been an active investor, closing 15 royalty deals in the past 12 months.

Unique Approach to Royalties

«We take a cross-asset, relative value approach to royalties investing, which we believe is unique in the industry,» said Stephen Otter, Head of Royalties at Partners Group.

The strategy, he noted, shifts between sectors depending on opportunities, aiming to deliver consistent returns through market cycles for both institutional and now Thai individual investors.

Strategic Partner in Thailand

For Partners Group, Thailand’s private wealth market represents an underserved but high-potential space.

«We are very pleased to partner with SCBAM and enter the Thai market with a dedicated feeder for the first time,» said Sunnie Yun, Head Private Wealth Southeast Asia and Korea at Partners Group, praising SCBAM’s pioneering role and experience in private markets.

Building on Evergreen Experience

Partners Group brings more than 20 years of experience in private markets evergreen funds, managing $52 billion globally in this product suite.

The partnership signals a broader ambition to deepen ties with Asia’s private wealth community and expand investor access to long-term, diversified opportunities.
