The firm's new executive chairman is an 18-year veteran of Credit Suisse, where he was CEO of Hong Kong and Greater China and head of Asia Pacific asset management, before retiring in 2018.

ADM Capital has hired Neil Harvey as executive chairman for Asia Pacific private credit, the Hong Kong-headquartered investment manager announced on Tuesday.

In his new role, Harvey will «align ADM Capital for an anticipated expansion in the Asia Pacific private credit industry,» the firm said in a statement, adding that it plans to grow its workforce and seeks to raise additional capital over the coming months.

Growing Assets

ADM, which specializes in Asia Pacific credit and sustainable investments, has added $630 million in new assets, bringing its total under management to $2.4 billion. These funds will be invested in the Asian private credit markets and will target mid-sized companies, the statement said.

«We are experienced in underwriting structures that solve borrowers' idiosyncratic problems, in the context of both growth and restructuring,» said Chris Botsford, co-founding partner and joint chief investment officer, noting the firm's «unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities in periods of market dislocation.»

The firm has two investment strategies; private lending to mid-market corporates across the Asia Pacific region and private equity in the food and agriculture sector. Each strategy is advised by specialist investment teams in Hong Kong and London, respectively.
