Lioner Adds 50-Year Wealth Planning Vet as Strategic Advisor

Chinese wealth consortium Lioner has hired a 50-year veteran in trust and wealth planning as its strategic advisor.

Lioner has appointed Brian Kenyon as group strategic advisor, according to a statement. In the role, he will act as a trusted counsel to the firm’s leadership team to provide strategic insights on long-term positioning, service development and expansion opportunities. He will also provide high-level mentorship and advisory oversight on complex trust structuring and multi-generational succession matters.

Kenyon returns from retirement after more than five decades of experience in trust and wealth planning. He was most recently working at BNP Paribas Wealth Management, including as regional head of wealth planning solutions, Asia, and managing director of BNP Paribas Singapore Trust Corporation. Prior to that, he spent nearly 30 years at Barclays in senior roles across private banking and trust functions. He has also played an active role in industry bodies, including the Singapore Trustees and the Jersey Bankers Association.

Second Advisor

Kenyon joins the firm as the second strategic advisor following the appointment of Henry Lam, former APAC head of wealth planning and advisory at HSBC Private Bank, in October 2025.

«Our Trust platform exists to help high net worth individuals and families navigate wealth structuring and succession. As our clients' lives and assets become increasingly global, spanning multiple jurisdictions, we are committed to investing in senior expertise to deepen technical rigor, raise service standards and strengthen market confidence,» said Lioner partner and co-founder Tony Chan.

«I am very excited to work with Brian and witness how his mentorship and strategic advice will make a transformation and elevate Lioner to the next new heights.»
