RealVantage Hires Veteran Hong Kong Banker

Global real estate investment platform RealVantage has appointed a seasoned Hong Kong banker to its Investment Committee.

With more than three decades of leadership experience at Standard Chartered, Citibank, J.P. Morgan, and Jardine Fleming, Edmund Ho’s addition underscores the firm’s ambition to expand its global reach and deepen its investment expertise, according to a media relesse on Monday.

RealVantage, which operates under a Capital Markets Services licence regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), continues to attract top-tier industry talent.

Strategic Addition to a High-Calibre Committee

Ho joins an Investment Committee that already includes luminaries such as Ng Beng Tiong, former deputy group CEO of ARA Asset Management, Ang Wee Gee, ex-CEO of Keppel Land, Anthony Ang Meng Huat, former CEO of Sasseur REIT and Fortune REIT, and Richard Tan Liat Chew, ex-CFO of Suntec REIT and ARA Private Funds.

His appointment further strengthens RealVantage’s ability to evaluate and validate high-quality real estate opportunities before presenting them to investors.

Democratising Access to Institutional Real Estate

«Direct real estate investing has traditionally been limited to ultra-high-net-worth investors,» said Keith Ong, co-founder and CEO of RealVantage. «At RealVantage, we democratise access by offering curated opportunities previously reserved for institutions.»

«Very few investments cut – Edmund’s appointment, backed by his strong banking background, will add to the scrutiny and validation of opportunities before they go live on our platform,» he added.

Ong underlined that Ho’s insights will be pivotal in shaping the platform’s strategy as RealVantage accelerates its growth across developed markets.

Career in Banking and Real Estate Finance

Ho brings over 30 years of experience in corporate and investment banking, specialising in capital markets and real estate finance across Asia.

During his tenure as Regional Head of Real Estate at Standard Chartered Bank (2009–2023), he played a key role in steering strategic initiatives and delivering innovative financial solutions tailored to the needs of property developers, private equity sponsors, and sovereign funds. His expertise spans equity and debt capital markets, M&A, leveraged and structured finance, and credit and risk management.
