Citi Expands Australasian CRE Finance Team
The commercial real estate team of Citi's Australia and New Zealand unit has expanded with a new hire.
Citi Australia and New Zealand has appointed Chris Alder as vice president, commercial real estate (CRE) finance underwriting, according to a statement. He joins from Wingate, where he worked for three years following previous real estate and corporate finance roles at Commonwealth Bank and NAB.
Citi’s Asia Pacific CRE division launched in 2018 and it currently delivers structured financing across all commercial real estate asset classes, including retail, industrial, office, hospitality, data center and alternative asset classes. Year-to-date in 2025, the bank acted as lead on over $8.6 billion of transactions in APAC.
