Barclays Rejigs APAC Investment Banking Leadership

UK-based Barclays has announced leadership changes to its investment banking unit in Asia, shortly after naming its regional head.

Barclays has made a series of key leadership changes to its investment banking unit in Asia, according to a statement.

Richard Satchwell has been appointed head of capital markets financing, Asia Pacific and will relocate to the Singapore office to lead the region’s debt and equity financing activities. He was most recently Australia country CEO and head of investment banking, Australia.

Duncan Connellan succeeds Satchwell’s role to become head of investment banking, Australia. David Henderson will be the CEO of BBPLC (Barclays Bank PLC) Australia.

Ee-Ching Tay has been named head of M&A, APAC, while maintaining her current role as head of investment banking, Southeast Asia.

Arun Saigal has been appointed as head of investment banking, India, on top of his existing role as head of financing and M&A in India.

Pramod Kumar will continue as the CEO of BBPLC India and also assume additional responsibility as vice chairman, investment banking, APAC, subject to regulatory approval.

Sushir Lohia, head of risk solutions group, APAC, Yuzo Otsuka, head of investment banking, Japan, and Raymond Yu, head of investment banking, Greater China, will continue in their roles.

Growth Plans

Last month, the British lender appointed Avinash Thakur as APAC head of investment banking, promoting him from his previous role as APAC head of capital markets financing.
