HSBC continues its shift towards an even greater focus on Asia as its growth market with the promotion of its APAC head of wealth sales to a global role, finews.asia has learned.

HSBC appoints Patrick Boumalham as its global head of wealth sales, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia, effective September 1. Based in Singapore, Boumalham reports to global head of institutional sales & co-head of securities services Allegra Berman and ASEAN head of markets & securities services Sridhar Narayan.

This marks an expanded role as Boumalham retains his existing responsibilities as head of wealth sales for Asia Pacific.
