Axa China Region Insurance Company (Bermuda) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration.
The strategic partnership aims to explore advanced medical insurance models, harnessing Lecheng’s world-class medical resources to provide customers with a wider range of high-quality cross-border healthcare options.
Lecheng: China’s Only Medical Special Zone
Established in 2013 with the approval of China’s State Council, the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone enjoys exclusive policy benefits in medical services, research, operations, and international exchanges.
It has become a magnet for leading medical institutions, specialist teams, and advanced treatment protocols — including therapies for rare diseases, pioneering cancer treatments, and innovative pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Breakthrough Cancer Therapy in the Spotlight
Within the Pilot Zone, Axa has also partnered with China Biotech Services Holdings to develop Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) — an advanced cancer treatment now being introduced in China.
This initiative reflects Axa’s commitment to integrating next-generation medical technologies into its insurance offerings, delivering patients more diverse and effective treatment options.
