GFTN Appoints C-Suite Duo for Strategy and Growth, Advisory

Singapore’s Global Finance & Technology Network has announced two senior appointments to lead strategy and growth as well as its advisory unit.

The Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) has appointed Anthony Thomas as chief strategy & growth officer, according to a statement. In the role, he is responsible for the global strategy and growth agenda, expanding the network’s presence across new markets and initiatives.

Thomas has more than 27 years of fintech and banking leadership experience, most recently as global managing director for fintech at Berlin-based Delivery Hero. He is also chairman of Vietnamese financial super app MoMo, former CEO of GCash in the Philippines and previously a Citibank executive for 17 years.

In addition, Maha El Dimachki has been named as CEO of GFTN Advisory, effective February 2026. GFTN Advisory is the advisory and capacity-building arm of GFTN that works with governments, regulators and institutions to design and implement digital finance strategies globally.

El Dimachki has over 25 years of leadership experience across regulation, payments and institutional finance, joining from Bank for International Settlements (BIS), where she serves as center head of the BIS Innovation Hub, Singapore. She was previously a senior executive at the UK Financial Conduct Authority and chief payments officer at Pay.UK.
