Ex-iCapital Executive Leads Hong Kong Fintech Association
The FinTech Association of Hong Kong has appointed a former executive from digital alternatives platform iCapital as its new chief.
The FinTech Association of Hong Kong (FTAHK) has appointed Jean-Louis Tse as CEO, according to a statement. In the role, he will lead the association to further its role as a «super connector» between Asia’s fintech ecosystems while showcasing Hong Kong’s role as a top fintech hub. He will work closely with FTAHK chair Lareina Wang and a new cohort of board members and committee co-chairs.
Tse has over two decades of experience across fintech, wealth and asset management, most recently at iCapital, where he served as senior vice president. Previously, he also held senior roles at Pictet and Edmond de Rothschild, advising institutional clients and family offices on complex wealth structuring.
Three Pillars
According to FTAHK, its team is guided by three core pillars. First is advocacy, with the association driving policy dialogue and thought leadership. Second is education, by cultivating future talent through masterclasses and deepened partnerships with universities across the Greater Bay Area. Third is collaboration by deepening connectivity with the Greater Bay Area to further develop and integrate into mainland China’s fintech ecosystem.
«We are thrilled to welcome Jean-Louis as our new CEO. His experience which is at the nexus of traditional finance and modern fintech make him the ideal person to guide FTAHK into its next chapter of growth,» said Wang. «His appointment, alongside our new cohort of Board members and Co-Chairs, infuses fresh energy and strategic vision into our mission.»
