SMBC Names Transaction Banking COO for APAC
Tokyo-headquartered Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation has appointed an operations chief for its transaction banking unit in Asia.
SMBC has appointed Sridhar Srinivasan as transaction banking chief operating officer, Asia Pacific, according to a statement. In the role, he will oversee and strengthen end-to-end transaction banking capabilities and also drive initiatives focused on client experience and operational excellence. Based in Singapore, he will work closely with Shinichiro Yamazaki, head of global transaction banking department APAC, and partner IT and operations.
Srinivasan has more than two decades of financial services experience particularly in leading large-scale digital and data-driven transformations across global markets. Previously, he worked at Citigroup, Standard Chartered and Accenture.
