HSBC Promotes MidEast Investment Banker

London-based HSBC has announced the appointment of a co-head of capital markets for the Middle East.

HSBC has appointed Mohammed Fannouch as co-head of capital markets and advisory (CMA) for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT), according to a statement. Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he will lead the CMA business alongside UAE-based Samer Deghaili.

Fannouch has over 20 years of investment banking experience. He joined HSBC in 2008 and was most recently the co-head of its investment banking franchise in Saudi Arabia.

«With our MENAT CMA leadership now based in two key financial hubs, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, we will be even better placed to partner with our clients and support them as they navigate the region's growth potential,» said Adam Bagshaw, HSBC's global CMA head.
