HSBC Appoints Global Head of Managed Solutions
London-headquartered HSBC has announced the promotion of its Hong Kong-based wealth solutions head to a global role.
HSBC has appointed Sami Abouzahr as global head of investments and managed solutions, wealth and premier solutions, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to head of wealth and premier solutions Lavanya Chari.
In the role, Abouzahr will spearhead the bank’s wealth product strategy and delivery of sustainable investment, fund, discretionary portfolio management and alternative investment solutions to private banking and premier wealth clients globally.
He is currently the bank’s Hong Kong head of wealth and premier solutions and will continue to lead the team until a successor is named in due course. Previously, he held several leadership positions at HSBC in Hong Kong, mainland China and the UK, across wealth management, asset management and wholesale banking.
