GFTN Appoints Dutch Queen and Others to Advisory Board

Singapore’s Global Finance & Technology Network has appointed several new members to its advisory board, including the Queen of the Netherlands.

The Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) has appointed Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands as the chair of the international advisory board, according to a statement. She is also the the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health.

In addition, GFTN also added Agustín Carstens, ex-general manager of the Bank for International Settlements, and Sanjiv Bajaj, chairman of Bajaj Finserv, to the advisory board.

«We warmly welcome Queen Máxima, Mr. Agustín Carstens, and Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj,» said Ravi Menon, GFTN board chairman and former managing director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore. «Their visionary leadership, breadth of experience and steadfast commitment to advancing financial innovation and inclusion will be invaluable for GFTN as we build bridges across policy, technology, and finance to foster a more purposeful financial ecosystem worldwide.»

GFTN is a Singapore-headquartered non-profit organization that aims to support global financial collaboration by leveraging technology and innovation. It hosts a network of forums including the Singapore FinTech Festival, advises governments and companies on policies and the development of digital ecosystems and innovation within the financial sector, offers digital infrastructure solutions and plans to invest in financial technology startups through its upcoming venture fund.
