StanChart Nabs Ex-DBS Executive for Private Markets

London-headquartered Standard Chartered is strengthening its private markets capabilities in Asia with the hire of a former DBS executive.

Standard Chartered has appointed Stacey Hsiao as head of private markets, Greater China, according to a statement. In this new role, she is responsible for leading the private markets build-out for the bank in Greater China. Based in Hong Kong, she reports to head of private markets group Nicholas Cheng.

Hsiao joins from DBS in Hong Kong, where she led the build-out of its private markets platform. Prior to that, she spent over a decade in the asset management industry, covering the Asia institutions, distribution business and product development at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, T. Rowe Price and NinetyOne.
