HSBC Appoints Group Head of Internal Audit
London-headquartered HSBC has named a new head of internal audit to succeed Jonathan Calvert-Davies.
HSBC has appointed Russell Jackson as group head of internal audit, according to a statement, subject to regulatory approval. In the role, he will report to Brendan Nelson, chair of the group audit committee, and become a standing attendee of the group operating committee.
Jackson succeeds Jonathan Calvert-Davies who has led the internal audit function since 2019 and will leave the group later in the summer after a handover of the role.
Jackson has extensive experience in financial services, including 14 years working at the Bank of England and PRA where he led the oversight of several large banking institutions. He joined HSBC in 2023 as global head of enterprise risk management.
