A 20-year private banking veteran in the Malaysian market has joined Bordier & Cie as a managing director.

Carolyn Leng has joined Bordier & Cie as a managing director, sources told finews.asia. Based in Singapore, she will be responsible for expanding the Swiss private bank’s footprint in the region with a focus on business development and partnerships. 

Leng has over 20 years of private banking experience with a focus on the Malaysian market. Prior to joining Bordier, she worked at Maybank as its head of private wealth management since 2019. Previously, she also worked at CIMB for nearly 18 years, last as its head of private banking in Malaysia.  

A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the new hire.

Geneva-headquartered Bordier has offices in six countries worldwide with Singapore serving as its Asian headquarter.
