CIMB’s Singapore CEO Resigns
Kuala Lumpur-headquartered CIMB’s Singapore chief executive officer has resigned and an interim head has been named.
CIMB Singapore CEO and CEO of growth markets, Victor Lee Meng Teck, has resigned to pursue other opportunities and will be on gardening leave with immediate effect, according to a statement. Lee joined CIMB in January 2019 and was named CEO, group commercial & transaction banking before becoming CIMB Singapore CEO in January 2020.
To ensure stability, Novan Amirudin, CEO of CIMB Group, will oversee the growth markets as acting CEO while Andrew Boey, chief financial officer, CIMB Singapore will step in as the officer-in-charge of CIMB Singapore to assume day-to-day leadership responsibilities.
