Prestigious Swiss Gala Marks 60 Years of Singapore’s Independence
In a landmark event celebrating 60 years of Singapore’s independence, SwissCham Singapore and the Swiss Club Singapore co-hosted a gala last weekend that highlighted the deep and evolving partnership between Switzerland and Singapore.
Far beyond a celebratory evening, the gala, held at the prestigious Shangri-La Singapore, underscored the enduring relationship between the two countries, one rooted in mutual trust, robust economic exchange, and shared values such as innovation, quality, and sustainability.
For the Swiss business community in Singapore, it was also a moment to reflect on decades of engagement and to reaffirm a future-oriented vision.

The strong collaboration between SwissCham and the Swiss Club, supported by the Swiss Embassy, continues to elevate Switzerland’s profile in Singapore, a hub for regional headquarters, innovation, and sustainable development.
As both countries look ahead, the bilateral relationship remains anchored in common values and a shared ambition for excellence across business, education, and culture.
