Barclays Names Permanent Private Banking Head for India
UK-based Barclays has moved its interim private banking head for India to the permanent position.
Barclays has appointed Adrish Ghosh as head of private bank for India, according to a statement, reporting to Annabelle Bryde, head
of Barclays Private Bank International.
Ghosh has 25 years of experience and has been serving as the interim private banking head for India since August 2025, following the exit of Nitin Singh, who was also the regional private banking head for Asia. Ghosh joined the British lender in 2008 and was previously head of distribution for private bank India, a role that will be taken on by Pranav Khanna.
According to Barclays, India remains a strategic priority for the bank, with growing demand from ultra-high net worth clients and family offices seeking access to international wealth corridors as well as domestic services. To support this growth, more than 30 senior bankers and product specialists have recently joined the bank.
