Schroders Capital Names Real Estate Head for APAC

The private capital arm of Schroders has hired a former executive from a Canadian pension to lead its real estate business in the region.

Schroders Capital has appointed Junnosuke Ando as head of real estate for Asia Pacific, according to a statement, effective September 29. Based in Singapore, he will work closely with the regional team in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo.

Ando has over 20 years of real estate experience in both general and limited partners investing. He was most recently APAC head of real estate at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP), where he was responsible for its real estate private equity strategy and the management of its indirect real estate portfolio. Prior to that, he worked at Goldman Sachs for 15 years.

Shift to Chair Role

Current head of APAC real estate Andrew Moore will assume the role of chairman, APAC real estate and continue to be based in Hong Kong.
