Schroders Appoints Head of Operations for Asia Pacific
British asset manager Schroders has announced the appointment of its APAC head of operations, based in Singapore.
Schroders has appointed Marita McGinley as head of operations, APAC, according to a statement, effective September 1. Based in Singapore, she reports to global head of platform services Dionne Smith and global head of platform change Keith Frimpong.
McGinley takes on the new job in addition to her current role as global head of digital assets strategy. She joined Schroders in 2016 and relocated from London to Singapore in 2023, playing an instrumental role in establishing and leading the firm’s «Global Digital Assets Center of Excellence» in the city-state, a strategic hub dedicated to advancing innovation, collaboration and the scalable adoption of digital asset solutions across the business.
Previously, she spent nearly eight years at British asset management rival Man Group.
Global Operating Platform
According to Schroders, McGinley’s new responsibilities reflect the firm’s ambition to advance its «Global Operating Platform», which is a «modular, process-driven and multi-skilled model designed to seamlessly integrate emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, distributed ledger technology and data».
