J.P. Morgan Nets Ex-HSBC Private Banker

US-based J.P. Morgan has hired a former HSBC private banker as a managing director in its Hong Kong office.

J.P. Morgan Private Bank has appointed Wang Cheung as managing director and team lead, according to a LinkedIn post. He joins the bank’s China team in the Hong Kong office to cover ultra-high net worth clients.

Cheung has over 20 years of experience in wealth management, most recently at HSBC’s private banking arm where he worked three years,  last as head of the southern China region. Prior to that, he also worked at Credit Suisse and Daiwa Capital Markets.
