Lombard Odier Hires Ex-Indosuez, Julius Baer Bankers
Geneva-based Lombard Odier has hired two senior executives from rival private banks Indosuez Wealth Management and Julius Baer.
Lombard Odier has appointed Alfred Low as Hong Kong CEO, according to a statement, subject to regulatory approval. He has also been named head of North Asia markets for the bank’s private clients franchise, effective September 1. He will be initially based in Singapore before relocating to Hong Kong in the coming months and report to Omar Shokur, regional head for Asia, private clients.
Low has 20 years of experience, most recently at Indosuez Wealth Management where he was managing director, head of North Asia markets and strategic partnerships. Prior to that, he also held key positions at HSBC, Credit Suisse and UBS.
Senior Relationship Manager
In addition, the bank has also appointed Pei Pei Chern as senior relationship manager. In the role, she will focus on deepening client relationships in the region with a particular focus on Taiwan. Based in Singapore, she report to Low.
Chern has over 25 years of wealth management experience, most recently as managing director at Julius Baer. Previously, she also worked at UBS and Citibank.
Southeast Asia Market Head
The latest appointments are part of the Swiss pure-play private bank’s ongoing expansion in the region. In December 2024, Lombard Odier also hired Andrea Meierhofer as Southeast Asia market head, private clients, reporting to Shokur. Meierhofer joined from Pictet, where he was deputy market group head for Southeast Asia and previously also held senior roles at UBS and LGT.
