AIA Singapore Appoints HR Chief
Life insurance group AIA announced a major leadership transition in Singapore, effective 1 October 2025.
AIA Singapore has appointed Owen Addison as chief human resources officer (CHRO), according to a statement, effective October 1. He succeeds Aileen Tan, who has played a pivotal role in shaping AIA Singapore’s culture and values, and will officially step down on September 30.
Tan will remain with the broader AIA family, taking on a new role at Amplify Health, where she will lead the people and culture team as a strategic advisor and coach starting in October.
Proven Leader
Addison brings a strong background in human resources, with a focus on business partnering, organisational transformation, and executive compensation. Having joined AIA in 2017, he has held several human resources leadership positions within AIA in Hong Kong.
Most recently, Addison served as director of human resources, where he partnered with group technology and operations, AIA New Zealand, and AIA Sri Lanka.
Renewed Focus
He also led the group CHRO office, evidencing his versatility and strategic capabilities. Before AIA, he worked in financial services and consulting, notably with PwC.
This transition marks not only a changing of the guard but also a renewed focus on strategic human capital development as AIA Singapore continues to evolve in an increasingly competitive landscape.
