UBS Reshuffles Global Banking Unit in Japan

The Japan global banking unit of UBS has reportedly made several management changes following the appointment of a new head.

UBS has hired Masazumi Toriyama as head of the Japanese global banking division, according to a «Reuters» report citing an internal memo, effective August 4. He rejoins the Swiss lender after previously working there for 18 years.

Toriyama replaces interim head Yasunori Saku, who will become chairman of global banking Japan. Current chair Aki Nakagawa will take on a general advisory role while NEC independent director Masashi Oka joins as a senior advisor.
