Natixis CIB Adds APAC Duo for Energy and Healthcare

The investment banking arm of Paris-based Natixis has hired two executives to oversee energy transition and healthcare in the region.

Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) has appointed Thaddeus Tien as co-head of energy transition & natural resources (ETNR), Asia Pacific, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, he reports to Sanjeev Kumar, senior country manager, Singapore and head of South East and South Asia, Aurelien Lasjunies, head of coverage, APAC and Raghu Narain, head of investment banking, APAC.

Together with fellow regional ETNR co-head Aaron Fleming, Tien will play a crucial role in defining and leading the implementation of the Asia Pacific strategic plan within the sectors of low carbon energies, gas & transition and critical metals & minerals. He will be part of the global ETNR industry group and work closely with the team across regions on these key sectors.

Tien has over 19 years of investment banking experience, specializing in the power, utilities and infrastructure (PUI) sectors in Asia. Previously, he was head of PUI, APAC, investment banking at Barclays Capital. Prior to that, he also had stints with CIMB Securities and RBS.

Healthcare Industry Group

In addition, the French investment bank also named Omkar Joshi as head of healthcare industry group, APAC. Also based in Singapore, he reports to Kumar, Lasjunies, Narain, and global head of healthcare Antonin Rigaudière.

Joshi will be responsible for originating healthcare deals, focusing on investment banking and M&A, while also collaborating with product teams and leading deal execution, where required. He will focus on strengthening strategic client relationships within the APAC healthcare sector and implementing the bank's regional strategy for healthcare.

Joshi has more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A and business development in the APAC region. Previously, he served as head of healthcare & consumer sector coverage at MUFG Bank. He also held leadership roles at IHH Healthcare and UBS Investment Bank.
