Blackstone Hires Banking Veteran as Vice Chair in Japan
Private equity giant Blackstone has hired a veteran in the banking industry as its vice chairman in Japan.
Blackstone has appointed Muneya Taniguchi as vice chairman and executive advisor, according to a statement. Muneya previously worked at MUFG Bank as deputy president and at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities as deputy chairman, building relationships and guiding business strategies in western Japan.

High-Profile Transactions
The US alternatives manager has executed a number of high-profile transactions in Japan, investing in real estate firm Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, digital comics provider Amutus, Sony Payment Services, site management organization I’rom and contract research organization CMIC.
