StanChart Appoints Asia Philanthropy Head
The private banking arm of Standard Chartered has hired a 22-year philanthropy veteran in Asia.
Scott Chang joins Standard Chartered as head of philanthropy, Asia, wealth planning & advisory, according to a statement. In the role, he will work in partnership with relationship managers and wealth planners to deliver philanthropy advisory and philanthropic-giving solutions to clients and their families, strengthening the bank’s capabilities to offer holistic and integrated wealth planning and family advisory solutions.
Based in Hong Kong, he reports to Mike Tan, global head, wealth planning and family advisory, Standard Chartered Global Private Bank.
Chang has 22 years of experience focused on philanthropy, advising high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals on succession planning. Prior to financial services, he worked at Ford Philanthropy based in mainland China and Thailand, leading the foundation’s work in Asia. He began his career at BSR, an NGO focused on corporate sustainability, where he was responsible for opening two new offices in mainland China.
