Hong Kong’s Private Wealth Management Association has appointed a former Goldman Sachs banker as its chief executive officer.

The Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) appoints Vivien Khoo as CEO and managing director, according to a statement. Her role will commence on January 16 and she will report to the PWMA executive committee. 

«Vivien brings a unique combination of experience in wealth management, fintech, compliance and regulatory oversight, all of which are important forces shaping the private wealth management landscape,» said PWMA executive committee chairman Amy Lo, who is also the chairman of global wealth management Asia at UBS. 

Industry Veteran

Khoo is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in wealth management as well as advocacy and research for digital assets, compliance and regulatory oversight. Previously, she worked within Goldman Sachs’ private wealth unit for 19 years. 

Established in 2013, PWMA is a voluntary association that aims to improve Hong Kong’s position as a private wealth management hub.
