Global real estate specialist Jones Lang LaSalle has strengthened its capital markets unit in the region with the appointment of a director of client coverage.

Robert Anderson joins JLL as a director, client coverage – Hong Kong, Asia Pacific, capital markets, according to a statement.

Based in Hong Kong, he will partner closely with APAC head of capital strategies Tim Graham and Greater China head of institutional capital markets Theodore Novak.

Anderson has a decade of experience, most recently with Mirae Asset Securities where he was a Hong Kong-based senior vice president within its real estate investments team. Previously, he also worked at real estate investment firm Shorestein Properties and investment bank JMP Securities in San Francisco. 

«A significant number of global investors have their senior leadership based in Hong Kong and we expect decision-makers in Hong Kong to continue to flex their strength on the international stage,» said Graham. «We’re confident that the depth of capital in Hong Kong will play a significant role in global real estate markets in the coming years.»
