Art Basel, supported by lead partner UBS, will launch its first post-pandemic show in Hong Kong this week.

Art Basel launches in Hong Kong this week with a public show that runs from March 23 to 25. Its global lead partner for the event is, once again, UBS which first established a relationship with Art Basel in 1994.

The annual art fair also runs other iterations in Basel, Paris, and Miami Beach.

Largest Since 2019

With travel restrictions lifted, Art Basel Hong Kong in 2023 is running its largest edition since 2019, according to a statement. The number of galleries grew from 130 in 2022 to 177 this year with participants from 32 countries worldwide.

«UBS is delighted to welcome back both local and international visitors to this much anticipated Hong Kong edition. Despite the challenges in recent years, the local art market consistently displays enduring strength and resilience,» added Amy Lo, co-head wealth management APAC and Hong Kong CEO at UBS.
